Yes, I did have two Goniporas for a quite some time. Both were growing pretty well (I had a G. stokesi and G. minor). The G. stokesi actually reproduced asexually by forming satellite colonies.
Unfortunately I had to give them away because I developed very bad oversensitivity for them: my arms would swallow and have red rash when ever I put my hand close to them. I actually took the G. minor to the LFS who touched it with his bare hand and had to go to hospital because of the reaction
I personally don't feel as strongly about Gonioporas as some other people
I know several cases where Gonioporas have been kept succesfully for a very long time and I don't think they are "impossible" at all.
Just remember that some species are extremely toxic and will kill almost everything that they touch.
